ok, I see what you mean by the neck and hands...personally, I think that looks pretty fricking sweet. I also like that it looks like armor of some kind.

yeah, like I said before, it's REALLY modern-esk, so for someone like Sent who is a purist when it comes to Supes, that would probably bug them. Luckily the storylines have been so freakin' badass - even the purist don't mind too much.

I think that's incredibly awesome

arkham series did really follow the current trends of depicting batman (the bat symbol and armor); however, they kept the underwear look

yeah look at Sent's Sig pic:

that's how Superman's cape is suppose to look to a purist - so it'll just take him a bit longer to get use to the "new" way capes look

I loved fighting deathstroke, bane (2 awesome fights and a 3rd that wasn't so awesome, but challenging enough), shiva was fun too. Oh and killer croc was fun

Imagine city with this advantage. It would be the GOAT batman game.

quote:

I did love the art direction

It had a Joel Schumacher and Tim burton Gotham feel to it while staying modern enough to not make the layout of the city make you go like wtf.

quote:

royal hotel

Prettiest but most ominous sight in the game with the GCPD being a close second. It's very opulent and grand like you feel like something is always going down in there.

quote:

my favorite moments were climbing through the royal hotel for an epic showdown with bane and joker, and the epic nature of going up the bridge, but they never had the same tension as

1. killer croc in asylum
2. the final act of city (starting with joker taking talia)

nor did they have the same quiet creepiness that could be had in the rocksteady games (particularly asylum)

asylum really was the most tense, and city was the best story and most epic batman experience.

This is what I mean when I say that origins is the weaker story compared to city but I'm looking at it in a vacuum and origins is basically a copy and paste from city with a few tweaks like a new map, better boss fights, more gadgets and crime scene solving.

It's a shame really, a great story like city deserves these advantages over a weaker story like origins.

shock gloves, deathstrokes rope gun thingy

These were great and I enjoyed implementing them into combat. The gloves were great in a pinch when you really needed to get the upper hand and you could use the rope gun to sling a gas can to three guys and explode it in their faces.

Superman doesn't need armor.

Man of steel got the cape right but I woud prefer this....

No matter how much they change his symbol whatsoever, this is the GOAT and only House of El symbol that's appropriate...

This is Supes best uniform ever... He doesn't need no goddamn armor.

so I decided to step out of my comfort zone this weekend and have begun to read the Justice League New 52 issues... damn, I should have been reading these all along. I really wish DC could put on a better presentation with film and TV... because as far as the drawn / written art - DC > Marvel - it's too bad that as far as visual entertainment (TV and Movies) are: Marvel > DC - but I guess that's ok, cause we the consumer get so much awesome across the board!

really, they just kinda brought in a rouge gallery that's as strong as him. For instance, the first Justice league has him fighting Darkseid for crying out loud - first comics off the bat and BOOM.

Also remember that Superman is weak to magic.

ok Sent... I'm kinda new to this whole "paying for comics" thing.

I want to catch up on the Batman, Justice League, Superman, and Green Arrow stories in the New 52... do I buy each of the "Volumes" (I guess the full books)? Basically.. I'm wondering, are these books basically all of the "monthly" comics shoved into a book or something? (I read through the Justice League Vol. 1, and it appeared it was all of the Justice League releases for the first year binded together or something?)

yes.. but is action comics volume 1: all of the action comic monthly issues for say... 2011 until they went to ... volume 2.. and binded them up and then put them in a "digital book" or physical book?

ok - I finished up JLA Volume 1 and just got my loans from the library - Action Comics Volume 1, Batman Volume 1, The Flash Volume 1 - after I'm done with these I'm going to move onto Detective Comics, Green Arrow, Nightwing, and Batman vs. Robin.

Very excited!
