Which is better, The Illusionist or The Prestige. I had forgotten that they came out nearly the same time.

For me, the surrounding cast of the Prestige was better than the Illusionist but I think Edward Norton was solid in his role.

Both very solid movies, but I think I give the edge to The Prestige. I think it aged better as well.

I always get these 2 mixed up when they are on TV.

Prestige is by far the better movie.

The Illusionist was decent, but that's the best I can give it.

The Prestige is in my top five favorite movies of all time. Just so, so awesome to me. And I say that not really giving a shite that it was directed by Nolan (whom I didn't really know about when I saw it anyway). It's one of the coolest/most fun movie experiences I've had in theaters.

The Prestige. That movie gets better and better with each viewing.

The Prestige is better, but The Illusionist was a great movie. Not fair to compare it to The Prestige

I'm with Coco, though i liked the Iluusionist a bit more than him. It's a good movie, but kinda forgettable. It's worth two hours of your life.

But The Prestige is next level greatness. If Memento didn't exist, it would be Nolan's greatest film.

I guess I'll be the black sheep and say I thought prestige was mediocre. I much prefer the illusionist

It really does. You find stuff everytime that you didn't notice before. It is by far Nolan's best film. It sucks knowing movies like that don't get the credit/acknowledgement they deserve.

If they made more movies like that, I'd spend $40 at a movie theater every week.

Both excellent films, but "The Prestige" was just a cut above.

At first watch, I thought I liked the Illuisionist more, but I've only wanted to watch the Pretige over again and I can't even remeber what happened in the Illusionist. Not really a good argument for it being better.

same.

I enjoyed the illusionist, but I have never thought to myself 'I should watch that movie again'. The prestige is a different story.
