From the start this spring and just absolutely explodes from game 1? Is all well with Miles then?

I say yes.

yes, because if that happens and the defense is halfway decent, we'll win the SEC and probably the NC.

If LSU had a qb this past year there would be no negativity at all. If Harris develops all is well.

In that scenario Miles has clearly already resigned before the spring. So yes, I'm ok with him.

There won't be any explosion from any QB unless the offense changes. Not saying Harris isn't capable of it, just that our offensive scheme or lack there of won't allow too much exploding from anyone.

It doesn't matter what Les does. A portion of this fanbase will never accept him. If he goes undefeated for the next two years he will be criticized for not going super undefeated.

If he does good. Everyone thinks he has the talent, but if it doesn't work out, then it is one more slash against Les Miles in the quarterback development category.

The key is that Brandon hasn't gotten any playing time in the season past. Excuses could be directed towards inexperience, although who is at fault for that ?

Actually, he would be the first QB to come straight out of high school under Miles to show any significant improvement at all.

Yes, all will be forgiven. Some will still gripe because Les didn't play him last year though.

I get the impression there is some sort of strategy going on in the mind of Les Miles and the LSU Admins that--though it doesn't make sense right now--will in time. Perhaps this season was a testing for something greater to come--or there was some trimming down that needed to occur. Chavis took the money and ran--showing his heart was more for Chavis than for LSU. Chavis took the greedy route--Les Miles could have gone to Michigan but staid with his heart (although there is some $$$ there to help out--he staid with LSU. If a person's heart isn't into the job, he/she is going through the motions. At that point, it is good to leave, if you can. Chavis will be no happier at aTm than at LSU after the adrenalin wears off.

This. I do not have this "pie in the sky" idea that Harris will be a Heisman candidate like some on here. I just hope for a game manager that can make plays down the field when we need it. That is Les' MO and will most likely be the case with Harris.

I don't think the defense was good enough early for us to go undefeated. I think Miss St and Auburn still beat us.

Unless we have very good QB play and are just dominant on offense.
