Got a buddy that is buying up a bunch of food plot seed for next year. Hes getting a good deal on it but does it have a shelf life or is every seed type different? Im sure u have to keep them dry but any other tips?

<=== not an ag expert.
I would think you would need to keep them as cool as possible. I think they would be fine, but expect lower germination rates. I would probably just use a little more seed than recommended.

He'll have to keep it cool and dry then hope weevils don't ravage it.
I wouldn't try to keep it over the year.

This. Keep some rat poison near it. You can check the germination yourself if you are worried about it before planting next fall.
