Fixing neoprene waders

Got a small tear in one of the knees. Not a complete puncture but I'll wear my other pair til I can fix them. Do the neoprene patch kits work pretty good?

I have NEVER found anything that works longer than 20 minutes...
patches made for it...
sealants made for it...
now to be fair I was trying to repair the boot...dunno about the wader itself...

For small damage I use clear caulk with good results.

I hear people have some success with aqua-seal...
it didn't work on my boots but it will probably work on the waders...saw it at walmart and academy actually...

I used Shoe-Goo. Works quite well.

I have used Aquaseal that comes in the Lacrosse wader repair kit and it has held up fantastic. This was on a pair of Hodgman rubber hip boots however, so not sure how well it would hold up on neoprene. It is specifically meant for neoprene though so I would assume it'll do the trick. I put sealant on boots about the 2nd week of teal season and it is still going strong.

Aqua Seal is the answer if you are repairing the neoprene part.

i swear I have been using the same wader for the last 6 years. cheap lightweight neop-hodgemans. I have about 1 dozen dime sized rips i've patched with this stuff and I hunt a lot of waist deep situations where you have to stand for hours in the drink. I even reenforced the area @ the boot threshold.
you could even cut a little piece of backer to glue to hold in place. I stitch the large rips before gluing...and glue both sides. I might be too thrifty, but I don't like repurchasing those things every couple of seasons.

My waders will be more shoe-goo than neoprene in a couple years, the way this season's going.

Either them wader patches or a pool vinyl patch works great ......heavy duty.
