I'm hearing Martinique is closing. Can't find it online, but I believe it.

Anyone hearing anything?

It doens't get much love here, but I've always enjoyed it.

I love their patio, wish they hadn't tented it or whatever they did.

Thanks Arse!

I wasn't impressed with Dick and Jenny's the one time I tried them since the ownership change.

I would go there once a month when the old owners were there. Last time I went, a few months ago, it was very below average. I haven't been back.

Me either. Smaller portions and a mediocre Italian spin on the menu, while removing some old classics. Frick those clowns.

I hope the new concept going there is good, because it really is a nice space.

Yeah my wife loved brunch there, but we hadn't been there in awhile.

People can boycott Dick and Jenny's, won't make a difference. Dude makes a killing at his third restaurant in Houma (and deservedly so, it's really good).

Apparently they are hiring Nick Lama from Gautreau's in the old Martinique spot

They are not hiring Nick. He is just opening his own spot. This has been in the works for a while. Did not know it was going to be announced already.

But they will still own the property, right?

They will still own the property. Nick is leasing the space, will renovate, and open Avo.

Same situation as Shaya across the street in the old Dominque's.

Sad to hear this. The place was walkable from my home and I always enjoyed it here.

Yep.

I didn't realize Martinique had been open for 20+ years.

The food was always great when I went. The only issue was parking.
