Just heard this on Cowherd.

He mentions how both Manning and Brees just aren't the same qbs they once were and I agree.

Flacco holds a 6/$120 contract and Brees 5/$100

Not a Saints fan, but I would make this trade.

ETA: if we are talking current...

in a heartbeat

sorry, brees would rather do his wrangler jean commercials, his nyquil commercials, play around with his kids, shop with his wife rather than play football imo

Hell Yes. Flacco is the most clutch QB in the game. has the biggest arm, all the prototypical tools you want, has skins on the wall and he is still relatively young.

No

I'd rather have Brees for 3-4 more years, suck for a year, and try to get a QB on rookie contract.

Brees has actually been better in the playoffs

And has always thrown a better deep ball despite the arm strength difference.

I'd take the trade for Wilson, Luck, and Rodgers.

Crazy how dominant he was in the games where he had protection. Hell, look at Pitt. 1st quarter under constant pressure up the middle. NT goes down, and we absolutely dominate.

Give Brees the protection, and this isn't even close. He was the 3rd most pressured QB in the NFL this year despite having the fastest release of his career.

Man... times have changed from people saying his contract extension was one of the worst decisions a front office ever made

Besides the people saying pay him for his SB win in Nola, everyone was talking about how dumb it was to pay him "elite" money

Let me know when he breaks a QB Rating of 95

He isn't elite. He's great in the playoffs, but the guy just isn't a top 5 QB and isn't asked to carry the load like Brees is. Switch the teams, and the Ravens are immediately better

I really like how you expressed your opinion in your post. Very detailed too.

Let me know which part you disagree with next time instead of just acting like a child.

Bree's showed more arm strength this year than he has in the previous two seasons.

Don't like either at their current contract. Brees is better in the regular season almost every year and there isn't much of a dropoff in playoff production. Flacco has had the benefit of playing with great Defenses and won one SB. Brees has had one good D that created TO's and won 1 SB. I'm not sure either team necessarily benefits from the trade. Flacco in his prime is consistent to Brees who is on the decline side of his career. I do like the idea of a tall QB that doesn't have 1 out of 5 passes batted down at the line though.
