Dozens of police officers — from the NOPD Second and Sixth District, and the Special Operations Division, as well as Tulane Police — shut down streets around several blocks near the spot, including Cadiz, Loyola, Jena, South Saratoga and Napoleon.

fricking 5 armed robberies in Uptown last night! 2 of them after the arrests. This is in the early evening hours in nice areas of town.

Yeah, last night was pretty bad with the number of armed robberies in the Uptown area. There were also two additional armed robberies Uptown on Saturday.

Let's hope the guys apprehended last night are the ones responsible and that this isn't a sign of the French Quarter crime spilling over into Uptown.
