2005 Grand Cherokee

I have recently had an issue with my transmission being stuck in a certain gear. The weird thing is that once the ABS light pops on the transmission immediately goes back to normal function and drops into the correct gear.

What the hell is going on??

Your tranny is going out. Common problem with 05-07 Cherokee's.

I had zero problems with my transmission until the ABS light popped on a couple months ago. I just don't understand how the ABS light correlates with the transmission.

Could be an electrical shortage or malfunction which is VERY common in jeeps. My Grand Cherokee has weird issues with the windows. 2008 fwiw

Could be electrical. Is it throwing a check engine light? The transmission in that year model cherokee is a good one, wouldn't think it's the trans going out, though it is possible.

It may be going into "limp" mode. Some Chrysler vehicles do that when there is an electrical problem.

I have an 05 silverado and the transmission shifts fine until the ABS light kicks on but as soon as the light comes on, the transmission starts messing up and slips and the speedometer bounces around. It's a weird situation.

It has a couple times. The check engine light usually stays on for a couple days then goes away.
