Pretty good Bond movie and probably without a doubt its Brosnan's best. Its not that over the top but it keeps you entertained. The franchise kind of went off the rails for the next three movies.

My God what an awful soundtrack though.

I really liked that they explored the angle of other agents. It just hasn't been done much in the movies.

In the next Bond movie, if they really want to push Idris Elba as a new Bond, i would much rather see them explore him as another 00 agent and introduce him in the next movie with potential to branch him out from there. He could have his own personality separate from James Bond but keep all the toys. Jinx was never going to work because she sucked, but bringing in a new cool agent could work.

All Bond movies are a bit over the top. The difference is some (Moonraker, Die Another Day, etc.) take it to a different level and basically become parodies.

Goldeneye didn't have invisible cars or anything like that.

For sure. She's a knockout, but unfortunately had that early '90s bob haircut in Goldeneye. It changes her whole look. Google her. She has aged VERY well. With long blonde hair she's almost a doppelgänger for Charlize.

Soundtrack was okay. Title track was good. Same guy composed for the Professional, and it was easy to pick out some recycled themes. It certainly isn't disco Conti horrible.

Brosnan's best IMO.

When Sean Bean falls hundreds of feet and is still alive until he's crushed
