I met her many times in the late 80s and early 90s. My family is friends with some of her family that live in Livingston. She was incredibly nice.

I spent a lot of time alone with Donna in my youth.

I met her earlier in 2014 at mid-city market. Very nice lady. Still seemed to be in pretty good health.

Costarring with Elvis, the central player in one of the most iconic Twilight Zone episodes, costar in one of the top TV series of the 60's... She had one hell of a career.

PRIDE, LA (WAFB) - Family members say Donna Douglas passed away Thursday morning at the age of 81, at her home in Zachary, LA, with family members by her side.
Douglas was an actress, best known for her role as Elly May Clampett, the only daughter of Jed Clampett, in the CBS television series The Beverly Hillbillies.
In 2011, Douglas sued toy manufacturer Mattel Inc., claiming the company used her name and likeness for a Barbie doll without authorization. The suit was settled.
She was born in 1933, in Pride, LA.
Douglas attended St. Gerard High School, a Roman Catholic school, where she played softball and basketball. She was a member of the school's first graduating class.
She was a "Miss Baton Rouge" and was named "Miss New Orleans" in 1957
