Maybe Les should retort with

"Now maybe we win games in the last 2 minutes"

That's a fair thing for him to say. I would imagine he shakes his head constantly just like we do, but as a good soldier he has kept his mouth shut. When you keep your mouth shut for several years, and then are excited to be a part of a legit offense, then it is fair to make such a statement. No one should expect him to be perfect in his words, especially when what he says is 1000% true. I'm sure he is excited, and rightfully so, to know that his offense will do their part, and not put almost all of the pressure on his side of the ball to win the game.

its most likely a shot but it could be a compliment to his new team.

Maybe because he just said it yesterday just after getting off the plane in College Station that has some bite to it. (And that it was in a huge article withe his mug in today's Houston Chronicle.) It was a shot, no doubt!

It's not a shot.

It's what anyone says going to Atm. It's what they are known for.

Chavis had one of the best offenses in the country last season and he stunk up the place bc without elite experienced talent he isn't too shabby.

I don't see him lasting long at atm. As good as Chavis is and I would rather him here vs the unknown.. LSU helped make Chavis every bit as much as he helped sustain things.

Chief's fat arse is getting a pass for the 2013 season. While I agree with his sentiment for this season, 2013 was all his. No one can deny the talent on the offensive side of the ball for the 13 season. We win 11 to 12 games that season if Chief doesn't shite the bed four times.

" but it could be a compliment to his new team."

Bingo! He's just arrived at his new POE and is complimentary of the existing pieces of the team. He's a professional saying the right things on his new job.

Fans from LSU may not be happy with him right now but that was not "a shot" by Chavis. I'm sdure he's eager to put his former job behind him and get on with the new. The last thing he needs is to stir controversy.
