Otherwise if you are just throwing out your best guess, I wouldn't rule them both out. It is not uncommon for 2 highly rated QBs to attend same school. In addition, I have read Shea's family loves LSU. It may be his dream to play for LSU. Both are not impossible

People need to stop thinking that recruiting great prospects and talented guys will detour other guys. We need to build a position, not worry about who is or isn't coming because of who is in the spot now.
So won't to play early, some what to play at a great program, some what to play at the dream school, such as LSU (as KT said recently, paraphrasing basically that LSU is LSU, it is not a coach - its an institution, a program you want to be a part of).
Especially with the issues we have had at QB (lack of talent and ability) we need to build depth at the QB spot. Depth that is experienced in the system, playbook, and football education.
We have to start somewhere and I believe Cam is building the quality depth.

I can understand Ole Miss, but why USC? They have Max Browne for at least two years AFTER 2015 if he doesn't transfer this offseason. They just picked up Ricky Town this year and Sam Darnold who are both highly rated QBs. If he doesn't want to compete with Franks, how in the hell is he even considering USC?
Same class or not, doesn't matter. He has to beat out three highly rated QBs his first two years and then two and in all likely 3-4 in his other 3 years.
On another note, people can say what they want, but if a guy is a decent passer, he can succeed in this LSU system.

Yeah, but he seems to have gotten over it. Also, people bring up him going to the MLB draft like it's a done deal, or they at least want it to be.
I'd rather have two highly rated passers duel it out for the starting gig in 2017 or 2018.

FSU has 3 QBs committed for this year right now, and the number 1 guy who is legit as frick for 2016 (Malik Henry).
I hope we can get to that point with Cam Cameron. He can coach up QBs, and once you prove that they will come regardless of depth.

Yeah, but they aren't doing it with janky arse QBs. OK maybe Ponder wasn't that much, but both Jameis and Manuel were 5 star dual threats (they are pro styke QBs IMO). Francois is the #4 pro style and they have the 5 star #2 pro style QB in the country next year.
IMO he would have done it with Perriloux as well, but it seems like LSU's only luck the past 10 years has been the end of the 2007 season. Russell was the #6 pro style on Rivals, and the #4 pro style on Scout.
Like you said, hopefully Harris and Franks are just the tip of the iceberg for QB recruiting to LSU. All we need is these guys to perform. I really want Patterson as well, but IMO, he wants to see offensive progress.
Please God let 2014 be the last time, for a long time, that we suffer at the QB position.
