This is ridiculous. Gerrard is going to skull drag the MLS. His range of passing, touch, and vision don't exist anywhere in America.
yea but he doesn't have the pace anymore
The MLS is a league with plenty of it

but the standard has been set, so players will keep expecting it when they come from europe

Yeah, that is pretty ridiculous. The ones making the move to the U.S. towards the end of their careers can see nothing but positives in doing so though.
They'll get paid substantially more, they get to live in the U.S. for a short time, and they have the bonus of not being recognized by 90% of the U.S. public when they go out.
Add in the fact that the local and national media will essentially leave them alone (aside from puff pieces and fact-based articles) and the MLS is a pretty sweet gig for these Euro stars.

I'd imagine that is immense for Stevie... I mean, he is synonymous with the city of Liverpool.. It's been said that he kinda stopped going in to the city years ago.. He'd be just another face in L.A. Not to mention the contrast in weather between the two cities..
I guess I'll be watching a lot more Galaxy matches this season.. maybe it will be my gateway to the MLS..

Don't become a galaxy fan though
it is frustrating seeing the same teams get the big name dp's over and over
that could all change once they scrap the 3 dp limit and the salary cap or it could get worse
