Nonsense. Drago has a ton of speed to go with his strength, while Clubber only had strength (and lacked stamina). If Rocky could make Clubber miss as well as he did, effectively gassing him within a few rounds, Apollo would make Clubber look like a fool. And people assume Apollo is all speed, but as tough as Rocky is let's remember that Apollo basically caved his face in. So with Apollo's speed, stamina, and punching power Clubber wouldn't know what hit him.

The Apollo in Rocky IV had been retired for 5+ years or something by that point and hardly did any prep work for what he expected to be an exhibition match.

The Apollo of the first movie worked Rocky so hard there was doubt that his eye would hold up for the rematch and both of those fights directly led Micky to setting up Rocky's title defenses because he was worried about him taking another severe beating.

The Apollo of Rocky II would have Clubber on the floor within 5 rounds. It would take a little longer than it took Rocky in the rematch because Apollo would be comfortable just dancing and rocking Clubber and wouldn't feel the need to let Clubber gas himself out quicker by beating on him nonstop for a round and a half.

I'm convinced.

But Clubber definitely scores with Mrs. Creed after the fight. Showed her what a REAL man is like.
