My current tires on my 2011 Silverado are getting pretty bad and am looking at either the Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx or the Cooper Discoverer AT3, does anyone have any experience with any of these tires? I will be running 33's.

Thanks

Like mine, on my second set, they wear well. They are more aggressive and a little noisier than the AT tires but not to the point where they act like a mud grip. They are great off road and clean out well.

How do they handle on the highway? I currently have the tires that came on the truck when I bought it and those are the Toyo Open Country M/T

Just as good as any of the ATs I have tried, including both BFG and Cooper. Good even tread patter with large openings and large lugs. I have never owned Toyo tires so I can't say how they would ride compared to what you have now.

Yeah, the Toyo MTs I have now ride really rough and are pretty loud. I will most likely go with the ST Maxx if they handle like a standard AT. How many miles were you able to get out of your first set?

About 40K but I was very hard on them offroad so they had some sidewall wear and a few plugs..this set I have on my Dodge will get more on road use and little abuse off road and will be a better test..

I have 33" AT3's, love em. They aren't as aggressive at the ST maxx though.

Just got the Goodyear Duratrac's on my Z71 suburban. I don't have an opinion on them yet, but they are aggressive looking for an All terrain.

I have 33' Cooper Zeon LTZ on my Sequoia. They run well and have last pretty decent. I think I have about 40k miles and should get another 5 - 10k on them.

ST Maxx also has 3 ply sidewalls so they are especially good if you are on rocky terrain. We sell the shite out of them to oil field workers in Texas. This is overkill for most truck use but it's nice it makes them very chip resistant
