My first legit sauce piquante. Doubled the recipe. My pot is at it's limit. Tastes great so far. Now to simmer and reduce (hopefully) a little bit.

Well. That sounds delicious.

I started prepping last night.

Making..
Mr. B's BBQ Shrimp
Chicken Thigh Skewers with White BBQ Sauce (inspired by Peche)
Mini Caprese Salads on Mini Skewers
Funeral Sandwiches (since they were such a big hit at GRDay)
Smothered Mustard and Collard Greens

French 75s

Guests who hunt are bringing some goodies. Sausage they just made, and then we are frying backstrap in the new outdoor fryer. :fingerscrossed:

Smoked wood duck, andouille and oyster gumbo. Black as night. A half a whole ribeye and fried Landmass river blue cat. That's my part anyway. There will be others.

Awesome jobs guys. I'll be doing surf and turf tonight with creamed spinach and some lava cake I picked up off the shelf. The wife is pregnant and doesn't want to go out or to any parties.

Today I'll be working on by corned beef, cabbage and black eyed peas, too.

Just a small dinner for 4 at my house. Rack of lamb is marinating, will go on the grill. Salad made with Tabasco green beans I got at Avery Island and homemade blue cheese dressing. Pasta with pesto(mine from the freezer). Piperade. Crusty bread. Coach Insignia Cab. Bubbly for dessert.

Cool, I won't go to the trouble of cooking any for myself. Let me know when to show up and give you pointers.

ETA I'm not cooking anything tonight but tomorrow will be blackeyed peas, cabbage, Snapper Courtbouillon and Meyer Lemon Icebox Pie.
