Said his sources indicate the deal LSU has on the table already for him is the best offer LSU is going to make.

If this is true, then we might as well bow down to our Aggie overlords as we are not spending the money necessary to compete anymore.

I think he's sick and tired of being at a school that is bull shite on offense. He's sees the potential of Sumlins offense and where it can go. And in his mind he knows if he can get the players on Defense matched with that offense they can do damage.

So we will let Miles hold us hostage with an "offer" from fricking Arkansas but we won't pony up for Chavis? Are you kidding me?
If Chavis walks Alleva needs to be fired the next minute.

Yeah, I don't know if I'd trust the Advocate (or Rabalais) on this one. When it comes to this side of LSU they have been known to have agendas.

Three things...
A) don't dismiss the fact that Miles may just be in collusion with Chavis to get a better deal.

B) with leverage being leverage, nothing wrong with (A). I do have one issue if (A) is true, that means our coaching staff has a "us vs. admin" mentality. That's not a good sign.

C) It's no coincidence TAMU approached Chavis (or word of it got out) until after Venables made it clear he's not leaving and Muschamp got him a job. Both for coaching and recruiting TAMU possibly leaves LSU hurting bad. However, I will cheer with glee if it is Chavis stringing TAMU along, especially for recruiting.

I wish I had your faith in this matter.... a man is capable of many things if he feels he's been insulted.
