Any more word on this? Supply List? Who is riding in whose boat?

I only have a little bit of today and tomorrow morning to go pick up stuff as in working nights NYE and NYD.

I should be getting down to Venice around 2 or so Friday. After that I have no clue as I have never been there before.

LSUSON will be leaving his house at 10am, expected to be in Venice at 1145 to leave.

There is an important email from Da Hammer about some unexpected changes at his camp.

I am expecting a call from lsuson today and will call Da Hammer this afternoon.

Weather will be a bitch.

Just spent four days down there. Be careful with the fog guys. It is pea soup. Please use radar if at all possible. A duck ain't worth it.

We used a 42' work boat towing out hunting boats and I was with an experienced licensed captain. Even he was puckered up.

Plan is to leave Nola around 10. 3 boats are heading out from my house in metry. Jeff may meet us at the launch and let us follow him down using his radar. We are going to camp at Sawmill off Dennis Pass. If you can make one potluck meal. I'm bringing gumbo, buddies bringing chili, stepbro is bringing jambalaya. I will try and bring some firewood. If anyone can bring some down would be appreciated.

I think around 8. Some are camping, some staying with Da Hammer. Sure the numbers will drop based on predicted weather. We will find out tonight.

That fell through. He has to host the DU guys. Email me your # and after i get off the phone with lsuson we will figure it out. Im thinking with the weather, it will be best to camp. All we need is a tent and an extra tarp to give us some break from the rain.

Guys I have been communicating with most thorugh e-mail. I don't have a lot of room at my camp as I have to house the DU guys as my neighbor had an issue arise.

I still plan on helping you all get down river on Friday. Do you all still need help? If not I'll just come drink beer and watch you launch your boats. If you need help I'll have the boat and radar ready, you all are GOING to need VHF if we have to follow each other in the fog. If the fog is bad you will have trouble seeing a boat 10' in front of you, will have to have a way to communicate that you are lost from the follow crew if that happens.

Someone e-mail me on the current status of things. I also have things set up to be able to come down and get you after my hunt on Sunday assuming fog. I think we MIGHT be okay on Friday, Sunday I expect to be a white out unless the S wind keeps it away which with sea fog is not a given.

Someone e-mail or text or call me to let me know where everything stands and if someone still needs a place to stay on land. I'll be busy buying face paint for the weekend.
