Bama did some study on revenue increase for the university and city for hiring Saban. More than justified. If he can be successful, it will be more than worthwhile.

IIRC, that was Buddy Hackett that said that on his HBO standup special in the early 80's.

That statement would assume alot. The average ACT score from Detroit Public Schools is a 16.8 composite. The chances of even getting waitlisted at U of Michigan would be slim to none. Are there 1000's above the average that would be able to get in?

The SJWs should be asked when the last time someone performing a chemistry experiment got 110k people into the Big House seven weekends a season.
If a coach can put asses in seats by winning, he justifies his contract.
The "inner city Detroit students", OTOH, likely end up in remedial classes and flunk out within 2 years if they aren't tracked into an easy curriculum.
