It's cute when white people tell blacks what to feel.
You don't know. I get it. You want to be an expert on everything. I want to be an expert on everything, too. That's because I'm an a-hole. I want to be an expert on being a Kurd in Iraq. I want to be an expert on being white in Nigeria. I'm neither. I can guess, but I don't know, because I HAVENT frickING EXPERIENCED IT.
So, if you haven't experienced being black in America, kindly shut up.
I grew up without a father. He made lots of money. He wasn't deadbeat because he was poor. He was just an a-hole. The stories aren't always the same. Please diversify your worldview.

So, according to you, if anyone is not of a particular race, sex, religion or ethnicity, they cannot have an opinion or criticize them.
Good, now quit telling me I'm a racist privileged white male because you just don't understand, because you haven't fricking experienced it.
So if you haven't experienced being white in America, kindly STFU.

I don't see this as a black or white thing. Having a baby outside of marriage is just socially acceptable now. Look at "Teen Mom." Not one of those daddies is worth a shite, and they're all white. In the 60s, we had "Love Child" (never meant to be, scorned by society). In the 00s, we had "That's just my baby daddy." Unfortunately, it's just not frowned upon anymore to have a baby outside of wedlock. I am, however, happy to see something that indicts the men in the situation. We hear so much about single moms failing to properly raise a child, and yet rarely do we stop and say why was she a single mom? Was it by choice or did the dude check out? I'm sure sometimes it's trash being trash and choosing that way of life. But, all the single moms I know didn't choose to be so. Perhaps it is a result of feminism, but there are an awful lot of men nowadays who don't feel a sense of responsibility to the family.

Using this logic:
No Psychiatrists can treat mentally ill people unless they are ALSO mentally ill.
No speech therapists can help people with speech impediments unless they ALSO have a speech impediment.
No rape/abuse counsellors can help others in trauma (crisis) until they have FIRST been raped or abused.
Sound Principle Indeed!

Community leaders are a huge part of the problem because they scream about being victims 24/7 and will not ever advocate personal responsibility. I can get real about the problem, but it would upset a lot of people because the truth hurts
My parents got divorced when I was 3 and the only time I got to see my dad was when he'd come to town specifically to beat me. Should I blame the government?

Oh? Considering I've seen all the program's first hand in the business world where underqualified black applicants were hired simply to fill a diversity quota.

Fraud/abuse, same shite to me. Welfare should be a safety net, not a fricking cradle to grave hammock

This country's approach to social programs such as welfare, etc are as an abysmal of a failure as anything we've ever attempted.
Pubs won't do anything about it because their corporate whore partners want cheap labor. Dems won't do anything about it because they're afraid of losing votes.
It's leading to the rapid degradation of our nation and neither side has the nuts to do anything about it. Absolutely shameful.

The amount of misinformation regarding SSI and disabilities astounds me. Nobody is getting rich off of this program. My son is permanently disabled and receives SSI. It's so little money every month, it doesn't even cover medicine or gas to and from doctors. It helps, but it's not something anyone can live on, especially if they have needs. But, it does surprise me how some people get it for things like asthma or ADD. It's not easy to get. Took us about a year until it was all said and done. They have to pull medical records and interview everyone multiple times. I'm not sure how someone can fake this. Also, the program has changed somehow since Obama took office. I'm not sure what rules have changed, but before my son received the exact same amount like clockwork every month. Now, it's much less and changes month to month. It's not something I even calculate into our budget because I never know what's going to happen from one month to the next. And my son has a well documented and significant disability.

It is pretty bad, but they know how to work the system almost perfectly
Posted on 12/29/14 at 8:33 am to Hammertime
I know people cheat. I just don't know how they do it in this circumstance. I do think they need to tighten up the criteria for "disability" but that won't happen because the disabilities community would be up in arms.

It comes down to socio economics
middle class/upper middle class suburban black families don't have these issues.
Hood rats will be hood rats white trash will be white trash.
