i loved playing sports in high school and it was cool being in the newspaper and playing in "big" games. Then the high school cleat chasing pussy is great

I regret playing. Colossal waste of time and energy. I made great grades but still could have accomplished more academically.

You must have been terrible at sports then. There are no talented kids not playing sports just because they didn't try out for the team.

I was a late bloomer. Didn't even start shaving until college.
It sounds like a cop out, but I feel like I would have been pretty decent had I played in HS with the body I had in college.
Of course I'm basing this on my performance in intramurals and pick up games later on. However, I was always reasonably athletic growing up, but lacked power and confidence.

I get how you weren't able to play sports bc Baton Rouge High is kind of unique. However if you didn't to any of the other sports, theater, or band, what did you do in high school besides go to class?

Brmhs was a weird place . Electives weren't great . I did mock trial ( waste of time ) and film club . And intramurals...

Wrestled in high school and I wished I had played football also. I would've enjoyed playing safety or cb.
