I'm not sure one article in the nyt and some justin-bieber mouth breather USA today writer (writing whatever) is exactly a "msm war on tech."

Name me one tech company that uses quotas

Wow. You are really more dense than I imagined. Let me use smaller words. Feel free to use your finger and read very slowly. QUOTAS are suggested by the MEDIA. Not the TECH companies. Quotas are the opposite of a meritocracy. The Tech companies do not use quotas and do not want aff action.

Are you trying to be this dense? USA Today is a part of the main stream media and the OP is pointing out that USA Today(and others in the MSM) is constantly writing articles critical of the hiring practices of the tech industry.

If you still fail to understand what is being discussed, please abandon the thread.

They want the makeup of tech companies work force to look like the population as a whole, but that isn't possible. Ex.: while African Americans may make up 12% of the population they may only make up 2% of those qualified to work for the likes of Google or Apple.

1. Liberals don't use the word 'quotas'. They use the term 'targets'. This has been true since the 70s when 'quotas' became unpopular.

2. I read NYT and USA in print form at Starbucks so I can't link.

3. I would do a search to link some of them but there is one problem....You're a dickhead and I don't give a shite what you think.

Who?

Show me one tech executive or hr or somebody who stated this?

This is some fruity fantasy going on here. This is like arguing with liberals. It's all made up!

Dude... No one is saying that tech executives are sayin this. The MEDIA is, numbskulls that work for USA Today and the New York Times.

Please invest some time into bettering your reading
comprehension.

Edit: it seems like you are on our same side of the issue, but you fail to realize it.

THE MEDIA!!!! Why do you keep confusing the two sides in the debate?

One side is MSM.
The opposite side is the TECH industry.

Are you mentally retarded?

That's the thing. The nyt isn't saying it - there are opinion pieces but they publish a wide range of conservative and liberal positions. The article linked isn't saying it.

USA today isn't mainstream media except for dummies.

So the whole op is just making it up for some fake outrage about a thing that doesn't exist except in his head.

by the way, you implied earlier they didn't say this at all...now you're saying that it's not that much AND there are counterpoints

can you link those counterpoints?

I don't read USA Today regularly either, that does not mean it's not part of the MSM.

Saying that it is not part of the MSM because you don't read it is, in fact, elitism.
