Did I lose my progress in GTA V?

I was trying to install an update when all of this shite went down over the holidays and the update has been stuck on 95% for 3 days no matter what I would do. I just had to uninstall it to try and reinstall it all.
Did I lose all of my progress?
I beat the game but I still had some side missions and stuff I wanted to do. Guess all of my saves are gone? Guess I will find out when it all installs again.

Xbox one? If it is like ps then the game data is separate from game saves. I also don't know if they have a cloud option either for backing up saves.

That happened to me on ps3. I did a reboot and it installed again no issues. Didn't lose anything.
