I have the wii u pro controller (the one that looks like a 360 controller) and I got smash yesterday for Xmas.

I dug up my old GameCube controller I had for the original wii, but in order to play on the U I'm gonna need that controller adapter.

Is the game really much different or better playing it with the old gamecube controller or should I just stick to the pro controller?

Yep, want to buy my adaptor for $100?

Seriously though I would just get it, GameCube controller (especially the c-stick) were made for Smash.

The adapters are sold out right now and hard to find. They are going for $80-$100 on eBay and Amazon. Nintendo is expected to ship more after the first of the year but for now they have some 3rd party ones out though I am not sure how well they work.

I hear that Myflash is pretty spotty from NeoGaf, best bet is just waiting for next year.

I'm still waiting on a new batch of Marth Amiibos. Starting to think Nintendo doesn't want my money.

i'm still waiting for the adapters to get shipped out before buying the game. pretty ridiculous that Nintendo didn't have enough adapters manufactured for the game's launch

Btw you have any Spice Orange GameCube controllers? I know you have a lot of retro gaming gear and I would be interested if you had one.

I was looking at the 3rd party adapters on eBay for like $15

What would really be the difference between the 3rd party and the OEM?

3rd party doesn't work as good ex: input lag.

Also to my knowledge only the official one lets you use 4 controllers. Making it a must for party's or tournament.

No I only have a few silver and black ones. I do have like 5 or 6 GameCubes though. Not sure if they work or not. I put them in storage and haven't tested them all. I need some games to test them.

How do the analog sticks look on the silver ones? It doesn't have to be perfect but a lot of them turned to shite, I have one that doesn't go back into place.

I honestly can't remember. I will have to dig them out. I thought winter time my business would slow down some and I would have time to sort all of that stuff out and put it on eBay but we have been slammed so it's all still sitting spread out between my house, shop, and a few storage buildings I had to rent just to put shite in.

I plan on having a massive garage sale around tax season.

Yeah don't worry about it. If you ever get around to it let me know.

Also that would be an epic garage sale with all that gaming gear.

I gave a few families in need some toys, TVs, and Xbox 360s with several games to give to their kids for Christmas so I am running low on last gen stuff but I still have tons of retro shite.
