An idiot that made poor life choices is bitter with a $9/hr. job, doesn't understand the antiquated corporate tax structure that is the highest in the world wants to write an op-ed where they are taken seriously about a company not paying its "fair share" in taxes or a living wage?

1) the guy most likely works for a franchisee not corporate.

2) if that's his only income he's getting all his income tax back. He is paying FICA.

3) US profits will still be taxed in the U.S. after an inversion. What an inversion does is eliminate US tax on non- US income.

What is really funny about the liberal melt down over burger king is that no one has EVER confused Canada with some right wing bastion. When your tax policies suck so hard that companies are running to Canada, you'd think a bit of introspection would be in order.

You'd think. But these are liberals. Being a liberal has NOTHING to do with intellectual rigor and introspection. It's about emoting. It's about Moral Preening. This subject is like crack for a liberal. No thought required, a convenient villain, and a victim. It completely satisfies the moral vanity of the liberal mind. Whether it makes sense or not never factors in to their thought process.

If you believe that America is the government then I assume you feel this way. If you believe that America is its people then I disagree.

I'd have no problem with cutting the corporate tax rate if their is an increase in taxes for the wealthy in this country.

The executives at BK won't suffer if their income tax rates were around 39% or so. They will still make plenty of money and buy stuff. There is no proof that raising taxes on the top 10 percent hurts the economy and prevents them from buying stuff.

And here it goes, eventually you'll be saying the execs at BK won't suffer if their tax rates were around 75%

LOL. Yeah like the 90 percent of us have to be so concerned about the tax rates of the top 10 percent.

They have enough money and influence in this country to keep their tax rates from getting too high. Make them realize they can pay a little more a lot later i.e. socialist revolution.

You do realize we only need the fear of socialism to get the top 10 percent to pay higher taxes when we make them realize socialism will be worse for them.

The wealthy of this country will soon tire of oppression and realize it's cheaper like in Europe to pay higher taxes than risk losing everything in a socialist revolution.

We are getting closer to making them take the deal.

So, basically, you're just a common thief.

I mean, we all knew that already, but it's nice to see you admit it.
