Watching Google Play on Apple TV

i downloaded The Interview on Google play with hopes to use AirPlay to stream it to my Apple TV but the box doesn't appear when I start the movie on my iPad. Anyone have any advice on how I can watch it on my television?

Try swiping up and see if you can turn on AirPlay from the control center. I've usually had luck doing this if the app doesn't have a button. I have come across a couple of apps that won't let you stream to appletv at all (bravo maybe?)

I Swiped up and only the sound streams to Apple TV

Only other option is to by an iPad AV adapter

Do you have a macbook or any other apple computer?

Try the allcast app, or buy a chromecast.
