Even threads like 'how did 2001 team lose 3 games' are tongue in cheek answers to the crowd that wonders how LSU lost games last years - while watching heroics in NFL by LSU players.

Sadly, the point of that thread went over some poster's heads.

Actually what everyone is sick of is you taking what people say and twisting it up to fit whatever gripe you have. You're just saying crap to get attention. The class clown in school trying to get people to notice them and then going home alone crying in his pillow.

Exactly. In another thread i said, "miles has been more successful at lsu than Saban was. "
He turned that into me saying, "Miles is a better coach than Saban".

In this thread Chilge1 says Hester wasnt a stud and he turns it into Hester sucks.

At the time LSU had finally locked down the state and fewer and fewer blue chippers were getting out. That emergence of recruiting power has help push us into an elite level with consistency.

Secondly thanks to Mark Emmert and Saban we finally started investing money into the program and facilities. Once we started winning an getting the taste, ie SEC and NCs we haven't looked back as far as fan support.

DiNardo then Saban with the Administration helped make LSU a legit top 5 job. Miles has solidified it.

What? I hope this is a joke.

While at lsu
Miles had a higher win%
Milles has a higher win% against top 25.
Miles has lsu ranked a higher %.
Miles has a better ooc record.

Only an idiot would say Saban was more successful. Saban lost 4 games in 2000,3 games in 2001, 5 games in 2002, 1 game in 2003, 3 games in 2004.

5-10, although i always thought of it as a gold mine given the talent in LA. Very elite job, regardless

Ots the other way around man.............

I don't care what they gripe about or not. I have my opinion and they don't like it because it doesn't fit their agenda and how dare I say bad things about the current coach whether they are true or not.....

I think Saban is a better coach now at Bama than he was at LSU and he was damn good at LSU. Miles does have better numbers than Saban at LSU, but it is by a small amount. Saban left LSU in better shape than he found it, and Miles has maintained. Also, the SEC has been much stronger in Mile's tenure at LSU than Saban's tenure partly but not entirely because of Saban at Bama.

Currently, Saban is a better overall coach than Miles and everybody else for that matter in college football. However, Miles has proven he is an excellent coach. My fear is the odds of the next coach at LSU being as good as Miles is unlikely.

If Saban was still in the NFL and successful or even decent, Miles would get more respect on the rant. His success at Bama is what hurts the image of Miles much more than QB development, clock management, etc.

nm1230, thanks for filling in the details of my original post in this thread and agree completely with your thoughts.

You are probably correct on this point. I also think it is fair to say that had Miles arrived in 2000 his overall winning % probably wouldn't be what it is today.
