Are all better jobs than lsu. But we are probably #7. Uga is up there too and would be higher if they didnt have Ga tech to compete with.
Lsu is/was a great job because of instate talent, no major universities to compete with for said talent, and proximity to Texas.

There is a difference between a top job and a top program. For example. Oregon is a top 5 program but its not realy a top 5 job because of its lack of top prospects in state. A programs history has an effect on whether its a top 5 program. Just because you win 12 games two years in a row doesn't make you a top 5 program.
Lsu lost 4 games in 2000,3 games in 2001, 5 games in 2002,1 game in 2003, and 3 games in 2004. Thats not a top 5 program. If a program wins 10 games in back to back years but its the only time theyve won 10 games in 30 years. That matters

I'll agree that LSU was projecting upwards faster than any other school (maybe OSU). But as a snapshot, 7th or 8th.

There is a difference between a top job and top program. Florida could have 3 straight losing seasons AND ITS STILL A TOP 5 JOB.

No one is bashing anything Saban did for LSU, I would hope all would be appreciative. However, not all of us find the need to suck his nutts 10 years later.........................

This list would work if you are talking about today. FSU, Florida, and Bama I would not have above LSU in 2005 but I'm willing to l listen if you have some number to back it up.
