I was thinking it was cause he celebrated with the mascot. But they never reshowed it so I dunno.

That's what I assumed too but a Cincinnatti broadcaster tweeted that he was told it got called because of the salute. So dumb.

Pretty sure that same call cost K State in the Pinstripe Bowl and few years ago.

Washington had a call like that go against them too a few years back which cost them . I understand taking out the extremes but not the excitement.

Yep, KSU had to go for two from the 18 over that to try to tie it. Even worse, the Syracuse players had been flashing that two handed diamond symbol after their scores all game long with no flags thrown.
