It's setting and period are completely wasted; there's no interesting twist here like there was with Inglorious Basterds. It feels lost and meandering, probably due to Tarantino's longtime editor dieing before it hit the cutting room. It's entertaining but instantly forgettable.

This was not a Top 5 QT movie -- that's for sure. I pretty much loved the first half of the movie (minus jamie foxx), but that 2nd half was just off. It felt disconnected and somewhat rushed.

The first scene of IB alone puts it on top of DU, and it didn't take a year of marinating for me to conclude that.
