I nominate Frank Sobotka for runner-up to Wallace.

This, but man Bodie's death was tough to watch.

Bodie, easily. Dude was so close.
Wallace was hard to watch in season 1 because it was a shock and said that pretty much anyone could die, but you didn't have the same connection with Wallace that you developed with Bodie. That robbed it of some of its gravity.

Bodie
He was basically on his own but never sold out to Marlo. He went down fighting.

I still think about Wallace sometimes. Seriously.
I think that was the hardest death for me in a show.

Yeah bodie was pretty bad but you kind of knew he couldn't take on marlo by himself. I think everyone was rooting for him, though.

I think what happened to Randy was worse. Probably the toughest thing to watch from the series.

D'Angelo.
At least he didn't have to watch people eat his leg before he died.

The actor died of a heart attack last year.

Butchie for me
Because he wasn't really in the game, more like a third party observer/civilian.
Wallace, Omar, prop Joe, Sobatka, Deangelo, and Bodie were all in the game so you knew they were liable to get whacked, but a blind man earning a living working a bar getting tortured then murdered in cold blood... That was more difficult to stomach than the others.

I'm just watching this series for the first time, but why in the hell did I wait so long before doing this!?!

DeAngelo's whole arc was hard to watch. Bell fricking his old lady and having him killed. On the other side, it was satisfying seeing that a-hole Bell eventually get his.
