Perhaps a Eurotrip should be scheduled?

lynx, what's the best website to compare flights and what not?

I'm planning on going to Europe myself soon, whether it be this summer after I graduate.

I really want to get a good deal on a/(some) flight(s).

skyscanner is a personal favorite of mine. It is a very good starting point.

If you have flexibility in your schedule then try kayak explore. This shows the cheapest options for a given set of criteria you provide.

Those two give you an idea and then I typically book through google flights or directly with the airline when it is time to seal the deal.

Flying Pig was the hostel we stayed at for 3 days in Amsterdam. The whole first floor is a bar and they had a room where people would just trip out on whatever they found. Beers were cheap. About 2.50 euros a pint. I can't imagine too much has changed.

Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the hostel we stayed in while visiting Rome. It was very nice.

I'd avoid Switzerland as it is super pricey and not that cool. If you can go to Denmark in the summer, definitely do it. Sunlight at 10 pm is a great experience and you'll meet lots of cute and fun women there. Danish people are fricking awesome.

About as easy as bars, I'd say.

I do think the classic Southern frat star would have more difficulty though.

I want to go backpacking next year. All the accents and foreign hot chicks excite me.

Amsterdam, Rome, Copenhagen, and Barcelona seem like the best cities. I'd avoid Germany as they're generally not as social as the other countries. Switzerland is too expensive. Greece is amazing although the desirable areas are super pricey for people who are doing the standard backpacking thing (Mykanos, etc).

Incredibly underrated city, especially in the Summer.

Lots of great info in the thread. I did a couple months after I graduated from LSU. My favorite was touring Normandy and the surrounding areas. We did the 2 day battle bus tour. Outstanding tour. I wish every American could do it. Munich had the best food and beer IMO but I love german cuisine. We went canyoning in interlaken. That was an adrenaline rush. Try and make it to interlaken for Swiss day.

Sorry buddy, just realized this question was directed to me.

Answer: No it's not easy to pick up chicks in a hostel.

Breakdown: Just like at home, connecting with a good girl requires that you have something in common with them and that you can somehow connect on a personal level. If you have patience and the right attitude, you won't have any trouble, as most girls in Europe speak English. The cool thing is that if you do make a friend overseas, there are great benefits

I apologize for the late response and perhaps you already received your answer. Anyhow, if you plan on traveling to Nordic country from the mainland you will need to catch a cheap flight. "Ryan Air" is the staple among backpackers who are skipping from island to island. The bad part about Ryan Air is that their departure destinations were way out of the way and if you don't get there on time then you're just SOOL.
