He's listed as an OT on 247 but I hear people calling him a guard. How good is this kid compared to collins? Is he just as good coming out of HS and what's his upside? Do you think he will come in and complete for playing time right away?

He's very similar to Vadal so I think he'll play either if not both..NFL loves the versatile linemen.

He is a guard. Possible he can play tackle, more so on the right than the left, but he is a guard first. Nothing wrong with that as he could be dominant day one there.

Can someone list for me the great OTs out there that are listed at 6-4 340, but are more likely 6-3 350?

Why can't we just let him be the exceptionally dominant guard that he will be?

He plays guard if we lose Vadal and RT if we lose Hawkins. I say he finishes school at RT.

Not at LSU. Couple of friends that are assistant coaches at the FCS level, one of which is an OL coach. Its just their opinion and obviously different coaches have different views; I'm just sharing their thoughts after watching his film.

He measured 6'4.5 at The Opening. So where did you get the 6'3 measurement?

Why can't we just see how everything turns out. I for sure thought Collins would be best at guard, but he still dominated people at tackle like they were rag-dolls.

Hmmm, interesting. Must have grown a lot taller this season. That or every recruiting site is wrong. But we know no one ever "stretches" a player's height!

As for G or T, if the 6-4.5 is accurate, that's encouraging. He still has 340 pounds (or more) to deal with. I've seen as much as 350 listed. That does not lend itself to very nimble feet. Perhaps that why he gets lower grades in pass pro than run blocker, where he is beyond a road grader. In fact, a whole other team made need to be created to describe his run blocking.

The fact is, he is not elite with his feet or quickness. Not surprising at that size (weight). Can he improve? Absolutely.

Put we, as fans, always want to put OLs at OT. Heck, FSU moved their LT to C and he and their line became dominant!

Don't bring facts to his argument.

College teams do to make players seem bigger, but Nike doesn't have a reason to. Plus recruiting sites depend on accurate measurements. It also depends on the time of day they were tested. Most people are about a half inch taller in the mornings.

Half inch (longer) in the mornings, I can verify this.

After coaching against him for two years I would say he is a guard. I think he's more of an inside road grader then an edge protector. He may end up a tackle. But he's definitely more naturally suited for guard
