That's what I carry.

Reasonable fears drive basically every law.

Very subjective. Many would say bans on gay marriage, the war on drugs, prostitution bans an banning abortion are reasonable.

It's not irrational to not want people running around with automatic weapons.

The fears behind most bans we have in the US dealing with individuals owning/using any product are based on irrational fear driven by interest groups. "Spray and pray" weapons are a waste to use for civilians except on the gun range and aren't affective.

But they aren't. That's why we debate laws, and push for legislation we like.

I agree on most things. Automatic weapons aren't one.

That's your opinion.

Yes. And your opinions are yours.

I appreciate the confirmation that the opinion I posted was, in fact, an opinion and was, in fact, mine.

No, it just wasn't a point worth addressing. Every law is law because of someone's opinion. We just sort of need to hope that the most correct opinions end up as law.

Sigh...

I think we're done here. The subjective nature of right and wrong seem to escape most people.

Right and wrong aren't, in my opinion, subjective.

They are, in yours.

We do appear to be at an impasse.

On that, I know we're done here.

What's the difference between that and the AR I can buy at Wal-Mart?

None. I don't care if you buy an AR at Wal-Mart.

So, what makes the "full auto" (or 3-round burst, if you like) model unacceptably dangerous to you?

Obama is the greatest gun salesman that ever lived. The gun industry must get on their knees every day and thank God he was elected twice.

I don't think I'd have a terrible time with that. I don't think often about gun control.

LOL, I highly doubt the truthfulness of that statement. I think the idea of the common man with a gun causes you to wet your panties uncontrollably.

Yay for you. Not the first time I've heard of a hypocritical gun control advocate.
