Is Chief waiting on the Michigan dominoes to fall before he signs his extension?

Maybe his pal Les told him to really take his time before signing anything?

I think so. No need to rush like last time. If Harbaugh doesn't go to UM then I could see Les going to Michigan, but I want Les to stay at LSU.

Probably just wants to wait until after Christmas to focus on business.

Yeah, or he's concentrating on getting his defense ready for a bowl game, and will sit down with his agent after and discuss the contract.

Do you guys really think he's just waiting to sit down with his agent to look over a contract?
If the reports are true that his contract is voided if Miles leaves guess what he's waiting for?

As much as Les irritates me sometimes, it would be a huge blow if he leaves at this point in the season. Ideally he would announce it after the last game of the regular season unless they were going to the SEC Champ game and/or playoffs.

He can't take the job until offered the job. Michigan is waiting on Harbaugh to respond first.

As was the case the previous two times, Miles was never in serious consideration for the UM job. Kinda feel bad for him in the regard that it has always been his dream job and i think would be a match made in heaven for them. Just could never outrun the past in the minds of some very influential folks at UM. This was his best shot to live his dream and couldnt get them on board. I know the 4.3 mill at a program like ours softens the blow quite a bit but still...

Think a couple others would get a "serious" consideration ahead of Miles. With a lot of their fans he is probably 1a after Harbaugh and maybe with Hackett but not with those influential core that blocked him the first 2 times. Remember Hackett is interim so not sure how much long term pull he may have. That being said looks like Harbaugh is seriously looking at the job, although he will always have that NFL itch to scratch.

Hacket is making the decision by himself to insulate everyone else from taking criticism.

Something is up with Chavis. Meaning, something could be going on with Les in the background. Why wouldn't you put to bed any rumors etc.. in regards to recruits?

No, he's not signing it because LSU isn't offering him the same type of money others have gotten. He'll wait for a higher number, then sign.

Guy has had no desire to be a HC and left UT only because of Kiffin. He's not a job jumper. Just making LSU sweat a little so he gets a little more money.
