Hill beat up defenses then Ware Magee Hillard and Blue came in to help.
Behind Leonard we had Magee Hillard Williams.
Fournette was our feature back. He's way more physical than Hill was but doesn't have the balance and vision yet. Fournette got better each and every game and he's going to get 100 plus in the bowl.
Hill is one of the best LSU RBs ever.

Fournette also seems to get stronger and run better later into games better than any rb I can remember here.

Hill is the best open field running back I've seen since Adrian Peterson. He probably leads the NFL this season in td runs over forty yards. He just doesn't get caught.
I was watching that broncos game with a non lsu fan and as soon as hill got into the secondary I just said "he's gone." And the other kept saying, "no way, no chance, Denver's gonna get him here, etc." 9 seconds later he's in the end zone. He's done that so many times it's fricking uncanny

Completely agree. Hill will be the best runner at the next level to have ever been a tiger. That being said, I really like to watch LF seem like hes running harder and stronger in the 4th quarter of games. That's demoralizing to a defense.

I saw many runs this year where Fournette could've gained a huge one if he simply cut it in the opposite direction that he obviously didn't see.
I love when ppl post in hindsight lol. So critical of a very talented true freshman. The way some ppl (specifically you)talk you would swear your opinion was relevant. Tell me, how many yards did you run for in your college career?

Strength - Even (ability to carry a pile or fight for extra yards)
Power - Fournette (he's ran over several people as a true freshman)
Hands - Fournette (this guy will be dangerous once they start really throwing to him)
Vision - Hill
Acceleration - Hill
Agility - Hill (I have seen Fournette cut like a scat back several times, but he doesn't look as nimble as Hill does)
Change of Direction - Hill
Top End Speed - Fournette
RB Moves - Fournette (F = spin, juke, stiff arm, truck stick. H = juke, stiff arm)
Break Tackle - Even
Durability - Even so far
Homerun Ability - Hill
Balance - Hill Fournette should dominate in the coming years like Hill did.
I agree with all of these, although I would give a slight nod to Hill in the "break tackle" category - as of this point in Fournette's career. I think Fournette showed tremendous improvement in his ability to break tackles..particularly later in the season..and I think once he starts to show a little more consistency in stepping out of those low body tackles, he will be unstoppable.

Yeah, comparing Fournette's first year as a true freshman to Jeremy Hill's 3rd year in college is pretty ridiculous.

Fournette is no Chubb #fightmeandbiteme
On a serious note, Jeremy Hill is much better and if you watch their tape its not close. All I saw from fournette was running through holes and occasionally making a nice move or running over people. Jeremy hill was better at breaking tackles, busting long runs, and he is more elusive. Hopefully Fournette will go to yoga class to improve his stiff hips
ETA- Hill had much better vision which allowed him to be so much better

Im just talking God given talent. Its rare as hell to see a 225lb guy run a 10.6 100 meter.
Marcus Dupree ran a 100 yard dash in 9.5 seconds at 230 pounds.

A HUGE advantage for hill.

That is about the same time if you equate it to meters.

Very important point! We're comparing an 18 year old true freshman to a 20/21 year old's 3rd year out of high school. Big developmental difference there.

If im not mistaken, Hill could technically play as a freshman. He had to wait a year right?

LF is talented..
But would Hill did in the bowl game against Iowa with Jennings at QB was amazing.. Plus in the NFL...He just has IT

Hill USED to play for LSU. Fournette STILL does.

Are you his family? Why you getting so mad? I wasn't being critical...I was simply stating a fact. He doesn't have the vision Hill has it's that simple. Hill came in and the first time he touched the ball he showed amazing vision. You either have it or you don't. Fournette needs to add strength in his lower body. He doesn't have the balance or vision Hill had. He can improve his lower body strength but he's not going to improve his vision that much. What you see is what you get there. It's not bad but it's not close to Hill's level who just had amazing field awareness that quickly translated into the NFL.
Despite what stats might say, I still think Hill was the better back his freshman season. I would like to see how many carries Fournette got compared to Hill. I'll bet Hill had significantly less because he had a better supporting backfield that season. Mettenberger couldn't throw the ball Hill's first year either yet he still racked yards up like Fournette does in this offense. Hill is the best RB I've seen at LSU in my lifetime.
Fournette is a great player but I'm not sure we'll ever look back and say he's better than Hill.

I wouldn't really say your vision can't improve. Charles Scott made a huge jump from 2007 to 2008 and became one of the better LSU running backs in the past 15 years

Give LF time. He will greatly improve as he has one season under his belt. Oh & u have to have a QB to pass.
