Too bad it's a left wing, liberal propaganda film.

Honestly, one of the best movies of all time. I make a point to watch it every Christmas. No doubt that everybody should watch this movie at least once.

It sucked when NBC bought the rights to it & only showed it once a year.

It's back where it belongs now showing multiple times all over!

Great movie to watch anytime.

Hope folks are as forgiving when I reach Uncle Billy's level of dumbarsery.

Fun fact: Nick the bartender is played by Sheldon Leonard. His name served as a namesake for the characters Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter in the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory, as the writers are fans of his work. (wikipedia)

Wrong. Why would you want to dilute a classic with multiple showings i.e. USA broadcast hosted by The Chrisleys

It's become my personal tradition to watch this every year on Christmas Eve just like I watch the Ten Commandments every year for Easter (and/or Passover). Wouldn't be the same for me watching these any other time

I've never watched it on NBC. Bought the DVD a few weeks before Christmas the 1st year they had exclusive rights to it. That's how mad it made me when they tried to capitalize on how popular watching it had become.

Most people my age felt the same anger. We grew up watching it multiple times during the Christmas season every year. We grew up watching it on five or six different channels during Christmas week. No big deal was made of it. It was just a great movie to watch.

I watch it when I want to.

Hard to believe that movie is nearly 70 years old.

Probably aging myself but I can't remember a time when it wasn't shown on NBC but I understand how it would be weird for you

Also, has anyone noticed that Ben from the Andy Griffith show is basically Mr. Potter with a heart and a conscience

Two things...

1. Donna Reed

2. Guy who opens the floor for them to fall into the pool is Alfalfa from the original Our Gang movies.
