What we did on offense at Georgia and Miss St we should have done every game.

Then when you play like that by expecting perfection from the offense every game, you leave no room for errors. This is what happened in every loss against Georgia, Ole Miss & Alabama. The team had key turnovers in every one of those games & the defense couldn't hold. Beckham's muffed punt, Mett's 3 picks & Copeland's fumble going into the endzone.

We had the #3 defense in the SEC last year.

And the #7 offense.

We should have won every game. No excuses.

I have NEVER seen a group of of rookies from one school play this way in the NFL. It is absurd.

He graduated with a degree in economics from Michigan, one of the best universities in the nation.

And without turning to a more ball controlled offense, this ranking isn't possible. People forget how bad the defense was early in the season & in all 3 losses.

Ok, so let's milk the clock and stall on offense all game, then force the defense to be perfect and stop the opponents last drive...

2012 Bama
2012 Clemson
2013 TCU
2013 Ole Miss
2013 Arkansas
2013 Iowa
2014 Ole Miss (barely escaped that one)
2014 Bama

I'm not saying that playing complementary football is perfect but I understand why that direction was chosen last season. It would have been nice to go for the jugular more especially last season but the offensive line struggled so much in pass pro at times that it wasn't worth the risk. Pressure on Mett is what killed the final drive against Georgia. He was also sacked on 3rd down against Ole Miss that resulted in a game tying FG instead of a potential go ahead TD. We all remember the breakdowns late against Alabama that lead Mett crawling around on the turf at Bryant Denny.

That's fine, but don't get offended when NFL people see the rookies from LSU and question the back to back three loss seasons.

Only giving up 24 to Ole miss after three turnover ain't bad. And thank god they showed up at Arky or we lose cause the Offense sucked dick. Also thank god they showed up for UF for the arse blowing the offense did in that one too. Nobody is getting offended. Reality is we were loaded at the offensive skill positions but it takes a team effort to win every game on the schedule. Truth is, we didn't get the execution from other areas that would have made that possible.

No, it wasn't but they did allow Ole Miss to go right down the field for the game winning FG after the offense tied up the game.

I hope you also realize how bad both UF & Arky were offensively last season. Slowing either of those offenses down wasn't a huge accomplishment.

I don't care about the numbers & final rankings because numbers can lie. The defense last was more inconsistent then they bad. The problem was that the bad play occurred in crucial moments in all 3 losses. Not only that but there were crucial turnovers by special teams & the offense in those losses as well.

Does Trey Wingo know why they say "defense wins championships"?

Haven't I said this too in this thread?
