whats your take on that?
Posted on 12/24/14 at 11:29 am to mpar98
I'm completely against it.
It just leads to a bad work environment.
I ignore their requests.

Depends on the person and role in the company. Either way, watch what you post. Post only things that are vanilla and harmless since everybody is watching.

I don't do it. I had one co-worker that was a facebook friend, but I was friends with her before she was my co-worker and she now no longer works with me. I've had several attempt to friend me, but I just ignore it.

Depends on how well I know them. If it's someone that I know pretty well, then yeah sure. If it's just the random people I talk to every now and then in the break room, frick no.

Deactivated my fricking Facebook about a month ago. Miss none of it

A) They would have to actually be your friend
B) You shouldn't have anything that looks negatively in social media anyways
C) If you are trying to bang her, don't do it. She will have too much access

My co-workers are middle aged men and women, I'm not friends with them. I rarely even talk to them at work. If they want to "connect" with me on LinkedIn, fine, but I'm not "friending" them on facebook.

If you are posting anything on Facebook that could have a negative impact on your life, then you have serious problems

but then all the coworkers will expect the same right?

I like all my coworkers, it's not an issue. Good people.

This is my take on it.
If it's someone I'm cool with, then I'm good with FB friends. If it's not, then I'm not. If it's someone that I hang with outside of work and shite like that, then it's an obvious yes.
This thread is about me btw. mpar98, you dick.

Nah. I'm friends with some people in the office and not so with others. And it's never been an issue.
I'm not an idiot who spews ignorance on my FB though.
