Yes, we know that there are many creoles and mulattos in Louisiana. FYI we also have many people of French descent.

Creole people are noted for their racial blackness
Who the French settled LA, not enough French women came to the land, so white men had Quadroon balls where black men met and married black women.

I don't know why some of you are penning the practices of miscegenation primarily on the French. I would bet the majority of those who are confused are actually the Melungeons of North Louisiana. I think most mixed "creoles" have a very good idea concerning their black ancestry.

Putting aside your misuse of "Creole", your reading skills also are lacking, the report claims people that people who identify as WHITE have some Negro in them if you go back 11 generations the 16th century before LA was settled, or there was some black in one of several thousand ancestors in the direct lines, not that Mulattoes that call themselves Creoles and have some Negro in them.

So that mean that 12% of the White folks are really Black folks who are passing. I wonder what percentage have American ancestry. I'll bet the percentage of Black folks who have White ancestry is north of 90%, and probably 99% have either White or American ancestry.

This isn't referring to Creoles who are obviously aware of their ancestry

Considering that my family didn't come to the United States until around 1900. I can trace my family back very easily. Zero in my woodpile, but I have some cousins that are suspect.
