Another one in NY too. This one is actually starting to look like an accidental shooting.

Why do y'all keep saying stupid crap like "If he pointed a gun at a cop"? If anyone points a gun at another armed person/me they are likely to get shot. Cops don't have more rights to shoot at someone pointing a gun at them than anyone else!

Im 25 and up till a few years ago i would always have the thought "hey by the time im 50 or so all the really racist people and the people that dealt with segregation will be dead and we wont have to deal with it anymore"

This idiot was shot because he pointed a gun at a cop. I know there are a lot of white people saying the same thing but every black person on Twitter makes up the stupidest thing. How can you be so obtuse?

I kinda wish i could have a separate but equal twitter for black people and white people

We've got enough crimes already. Vandalism, burglary, looting, b&e, trespassing, etc.

Sounds like his criminal record:
quote:

Belmar declined to release the victim's name at the news conference but said he had a criminal record, with charges including three assaults, armed robbery, armed criminal action and multiple uses of weapons since he was 17.

But his family says it doesn't make sense:
quote:

"This doesn't make any sense for them to kill my son like this," Toni Martin-Green said early Wednesday from her home near the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus. "I am trying to be calm."

quote:

Green described his son as a "follower" who took medication for being hyperactive.

"It was hard for him to focus," Green said.

"He was not a violent person, to our knowledge," he added. "Around us there weren't any pistols. It's hard to believe that."

Guess those assaults and the multiple uses of weapons in the past year or two are just crazy mistakes.

The sheriffs in these St. Louis areas neighborhoods need to pull a Harry Lee....

Back in the late 80's, Harry pulled all of his deputies out of an area because complaints of police harassment, after (3) days, the residents were begging for police presence again.

I know this is way too obvious, but do you think these people could try not to break the law and when interacting with police do what they say.

I don't think it is right for cops to go around shooting everybody who doesn't listen to orders, but the whole damn situation would go much more favorable for everyone involved if you just followed the policeman's orders.

The amount of money spent combating the crime, defending the actions of officers, and providing increased presence and effort to control mobs far exceeds what it would cost to erect and maintain a perimeter fence.

The entire force should "protest" in these areas and just refuse to show up and volunteer to provide services in neighboring areas where officers are respected.

They're throwing fire works as if they're going to set the pumps on fire on the cops.

fricking idiots have no idea that there is indeed a pump shut off switch on the site.

Glad the cop made it out alive. Obviously the kid is not a pro with that gun.

What do expect the parents to say? "Yeah, our son was a TPOS. He completely deserved what happened."
