The NBA is loaded right now with talent. Specifically at PG, But all positions have a surplus of great players sans C position (which is becoming a dwindling area of need in the NBA anyway)

I don't think the NBA has had this much talent since the early 90s or prior.

It would be hard to find a better group of PG in any period than what they have now.

It's really incredibly entertaining to watch, League Pass has been an amazing investment. 2-3 really fun matchups a night

Never. There were white players guarding MJ in the 90s.

You named four black players, so clearly I was wrong. Guys like Matt Maloney couldn't touch the league these days.

Autocorrect...

Training gets better and players evolve. You can't compare players today to players in the 50's Or 60's. You had 6 foot white guys playing center in the 50's. Better question is with today's training and nutrition how would guys like Chamberlain, Russell, Petit, etc fair.
Same could be said in any sport, how would Babe Ruth be with HGH and today's training?

No you can't BUT MJ would be just as unguardable in this day as he was when he played... Just like Magic...........

The 1990s were sooo long ago that Kobe guarded MJ when MJ was winning titles.

And the reason that Matt Maloney had a career was because he could hit threes and benefited from playing with three future hall of famers.

Is Jimmer still on a roster?

He would be way too big of a defensive liability in today's NBA.

Kareem (final year of his career)
MJ
Mailman
Bird
Magic
Moses
Hakeem
Isiah
Barkley
Ewing
Drexler
The Admiral
Stockton
Parish
Dominique
Alex English

Adrian Dantley
Walter Davis
Joe Dumars
Shawn Kemp
Mitch Richmond
Brad Daugherty
Tim Hardaway
Reggie Miller
Marques Johnson
Sidney Moncrief
Chris Mullin

He was way too big of a defensive liability in 1997. I was alive way back then to see it.

Good thing there are no players today that are defensive liabilities.

dwindling area of need? that's preposterous. Centers, who's primary job is to protect the rim on defense are at a premimum.

There are 6 great centers in the NBA(as in all capable of making All NBA)-Howard,Gasol,Noah,Cousins & Horford/Bogut(when healthy). These guys are strong two way players.

Then there are guys like Drummond,Jordan,Chandler Hibbert &Al Jefferson-mostly dominant on one end but contribute/mask deficiencies on the other
Offensive guys like Pek.
Defensive guys like Asik.
Young guys Vucevic,Plumlee & Valincunus
solid vets like Gortat.

NBA has plenty of talent right now at the C.

Shooting guard is the weakest position in the NBA right now.
