Jackie Robinson West, the Chicago-based Little League World Series U.S. champs, are facing more allegations of gaming the system in order to field a team with the best local players.

Last week, a clash between Jackie Robinson West and a neighboring rival went public, as Chris Janes of Evergreen Park Little League, accused Jackie Robinson West of using ringers from outside its boundaries. Little League International, however, scoffed at Janes' claims, saying it had looked into the players' residency and it considered the issue closed.

Now there's a new story out from DNA Chicago, in which reporter Mark Konkol spends another 2,000 words looking into more claims against Jackie Robinson West, which won the U.S. title but lost in the overall final to South Korea. Chief among the new allegations: The league secretly redrew its boundaries prior to the 2014 season so it could add additional star players, but didn't get the required approval from neighboring leagues, or even notify them.

How is any of this possible? Well, according to DNA Chicago, a new district administrator was put in place before the 2014 season, and he has a 25-year history with Jackie Robinson West

Why do our cities play whole countries?

Or are their teams from some cities over there?

Cause the All-American team would beat the dog shite out of every other team.

I'm just going assume the Jackie Robinson West boundaries are gerrymandered in a similar fashion to Chicago's congressional districts.

That's how it is for my son's little league. If he wanted to play for another town, he would have to get permission from the league administrator. They also require 2 proofs of residency. Also, if your town doesn't have enough kids for a team, then they can choose to play for whichever town they prefer.

The "Japan" team is simply the team that won the Japan Little League championship.

The South Korea Championship team was actually the team representing the Seoul Little League, not all of South Korea

USA has not dominated international baseball for quite sometime. It could be argued that the USA's youth baseball development is behind Japan's. No arguing that high school baseball in Japan is bigger than it is in the USA.
