encouraging. Article indicates growth continuing in 15 as the economy finally hits recovry stride.

The U.S. economy grew at a sizzling 5 percent annual rate in the July-September period, the fastest in more than a decade, fueled by higher consumer spending and business investment.

Our recovery hasnt been great, but the fact that its better than the rest of the world, maybe our expectations are a little too high if we expect to be even better? Recall the depression took nearly just under a decade for recovery, depending on how you measure recovery.

I thought a little thing called World War II helped us get out of that.

Nowadays when something good happens, Republicans just say it didn't.

It's going to be awesome when Obama leaves office and just about everything's better than when he took office, and Republicans have to explain that.

I sincerely hope that whoever gets the Democratic nomination in 2016 runs on Obama's record. It's a good one, and when you poll on issues rather than party, the American people support it. It's hilarious when you tell people something Barack Obama did and they think it's great, then tell them he's the one that did it. They start back peddling.

This is good news (and, as noted, compared to the rest of the world. it is fantastic news).

The problem with the "recovery" has been that it has been very choppy and very slow. Yes, the rest of the world is lagging, but that also portends danger for us. Try as we might, we cannot "stand alone" for long.

Obama had little to do with this. I'm curious of the FED policies worked and they saw this coming and stopped QE, or if QE held the economy back and it's now taking off since they ended it.

Also low fuel prices could be helping a lot

I'm not a fan of Obamas but damn this is true. I think he's one of the worst presidents we've ever had but he has done some good things and clearly something is working.

Like you said though. Anytime he does something good, people downplay it or say it's not really happening. It's no better than the Democrats that praise everything he does like it's the greatest thing ever done by a president.

Let's hope. Our economy has proven the most resilient and adaptable of all the world's major developed nations. Hopefully the recovery continues across the board.

Yeah, really. I mean if it grew due to forcing people to buy insurance that weren't buying it last year, then yeah.....it would be due to Obamacare

I'd say he's middle of the pack. I've been very upset by some of the things he's done, and pleasantly surprised by a few.

I'm seriously convinced that if he'd really campaigned with Senators, against their will, and done nothing but told his story, they'd have gotten on board with him and probably won a few more seats.

well I tend to agree with this statement, I will say if he had nothing to do it when its going well, he has no blame when it does poorly.
