How far away was the deer when you shot?

I've been looking since yesterday morning probably close to 10hours total off and on. No blood. No buzzards today. Gonna try again tomorrow afternoon. Maybe a Christmas surprise (fingers crossed). My dad said i could have missed low and he slipped on the gravel/rocks when i shot/scared him? 75 yard shot at the shoulder. Shot the gun today and it was 3-1/2 inches to 4 inches low consistently. Thanks for the help and advice Sorry i haven't been giving updates. Still embarrassed i guess. Thanks again guys.

Thinking he was a 120-130 class buck.

This sounds eerily familiar.

Doesn't sound good. No telling where you hit that deer.

Beginning to sound more like a "brisket" shot. That shot shouldn't be fatal unless wound gets infected later on. You might well get another chance at that buck someday.

Don't worry, bud. You're part of the family so we just wanted to know how it was going. And there's no need to feel embarrassed; everyone who's hunted much has missed a shot (or lied about it ).

If you still think genus gut shot go check any local water holes or ditches. Gut shot deer like to stay in the water for some damn reason.
