I'm thinking of surprising my fiancé with a helicopter ride from the airport to the resort when we land in St. Lucia. Has anyone done this, what are the pros/cons? TIA

What about your luggage? Usually there are strict weight restrictions for stuff like that.

It's not that expensive and a great way to get a different view of the island.

St. Lucia is awesome so enjoy. And drink a Piton for me, those are some great beach beers.

good, but honestly ask what they have. You want a Bell over a Ronson R44. The R44 are very common and are nice but are super noisy and are not as comfortable. Most higher end places will have a Bell turbine helicopter. A

For the both of us, it's only about $300. Its supposed to be an hour ride from airport to resort by car. I figured helicopter ride would cut down on travel time to the resort.

It should. Helicopters tend to be faster than cars.

That's what I'm trying to get more info on. One of the reviews I read said your luggage will be transported by van.
