To say Im a fan of Lake Charles would be a vast understatement. But they got a place over there called "Reginald Balls Fried Yard Bird". Best fried chicken Ive ever had. Puts Popeyes to shame.

I'm never going again.
I haven't been in years. I stopped when the chicken pieces got as small as pigeons.
A few weeks ago, someone asked me to pick up some chicken and sides for a pot luck so I did.
Tiny pieces. They filled the family sides only 3/4. Anyone here old enough to remember when family sides were a quart. Now they are 3/4 of a pint.
Biscuits look like they are about half the size the used to be.
Won't go again. Still love the chicken. I would rather normal sized food and higher price than a breast the size of a thigh and wings so small they aren't worth the bother.

Most of the time.
The dirty rice is SO hit or miss.
When it's wet, it's EXCELLENT. When it's dry, I toss it in the trash can.

I miss the old days, when they'd fill up the two piece tray with the Cajun rice, then just put the chicken on top, so the rice would catch all the juicy greasy goodness.
