I had a senior in high school the other day refer to me as "Mr. Fan08." I said "no please just call me Abita." They responded "Ok I'm sorry Mr. Abita"

Anytime I say adult things like "I love you" or "I'm running out of comp time" it sounds in my head like a little boy pretending to be an adult.

I know exactly what you mean. I found myself the other week saying "I definitely need to start adding a higher percentage of my paycheck to my IRA."

I felt like this:

I swear it gets worse every year. I will have a couple glasses of scotch at night and the next morning, I am a little slow to get out of bed. I hate it.

I'm 26 btw

When you haven't gone to bed later than midnight, nor have you woken up later than 7 am for a solid year.

This is what I always tell people when they say things like that. As a little kid, it sucked. Because people gave you "birthday AND Christmas" gifts, which is bullshite.

But when you got a little older (around high school), you could use it to your advantage. Ask for bigger things and just say it could count for both. I usually asked for big things saying it could be both birthday and Christmas, which I said knowing full well I would still have things under the tree because my mom was too nice to me.

Ha 28 old....damn I'm ancient (48). I played full court basketball about 3 times a week till my late 30's, then my knees started giving out. When I hit 40 everything just started going downhill, I really let my self go. .... This year I started eating better and working out some , I've lost close to 40lbs this year and in the best shape in years

I have started tweaking stuff occasionally when I work out. I guess in getting older too.

I know, 28 really isn't that old. But it's past the age where it's perfectly acceptable to go out on weeknights and act like a fool.

No one sees the drunk 28 year old stumbling down the street and thinks "Ah, I remember being 28." At that point they think "wow that man needs help."

I want absolution for my sins still.

ETA: That's actually a joke. The even sadder reality is that I don't really drink that much anymore because I genuinely don't feel like it or I'm too tired after work.

Do they have to be grey? Because by that definition I'm still young, but I feel like I'm getting off on a technicality.

When it took me two days to recover from a night out, 2 AM bar hopping. No crazy drinks, just lots of wine. Thought I was gone die the next day. Two days later my stomach was still not right.

Do not want to do again. Too old.

Not yet. Just pissed money has to go for responsible adult shite rather that just beer, chicken wings & outdoor toys.

However I did hurt myself in Sept during a mixed martial arts workout that is just getting where I can move my left arm without a ton of pain.

Keep going, man. I don't know what these people are talking about. Live life to it's fullest and have no regrets. We get one chance, do it right. I'm 5 years older than you and have zero regrets about living life to the max.
