It's the only way the announcers refer to them anymore! Since when? Call them by thier position or at least thier position number.

This seriously gets on my nerves fo some reason. Reminds me of a lame arse boy band or somethig. Am I the only one?

Seriously though. This guy has a point. It's 10 years old, but it's a point nonetheless.

Doc Rivers used the term "bigs" regularly when he was doing games on ABC/ESPN with Al Michaels/Brad Nessler before he took the Celtics job. Since then it has become more mainstream.
